Tocotronic had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. While no new Tocotronic album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in Australia. This disc has all of the essential Tocotronic classics. Tocotronic is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Meine Freundin Und Ihr Freund hits the heart. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Samstag Ist Selbstmord is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Druben Auf Dem Hugel is beautiful, yet underrated track. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. An Einem Dienstag Im April actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Tocotronic’s face. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Drei Schritte Vom Abgrund Entfernt is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Digital Ist Besser - A classic Tocotronic track. Wie Wir Beide Nebeneinander Auf Dem Teppichboden Sitzen - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Tocotronic. Letztes Jahr Im Sommer is one of the more up-tempo songs on Digital Ist Besser. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. A great put together song. A unique and uplifting song. Ich Weiss Es Nicht is a fine track on any terms. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. UBer Sex Kann Man Nur Auf Englisch Singen - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem.
