This disc has all of the essential Toure Kunda classics. It has been twelve years Toure Kunda’ last studio CD, “Putumayo/The Toure’ Kunda Collection” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Putumayo/The Toure’ Kunda Collection is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Putumayo/The Toure’ Kunda Collection.
Ndoungou is a bit of a show-tune. Guerrilla is one of the more up-tempo songs on Putumayo/The Toure’ Kunda Collection. Some of the arrangements found on Putumayo/The Toure’ Kunda Collection are surprisingly edgy. All of songs on Putumayo/The Toure’ Kunda Collection and have something to say letting alone Casale. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. It took me a little time but I ended up loving On Verra Quoi? Ca!. You have to get essence of the Fatou Yo’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Toure Kunda has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Okunaya sets the tone for the entire album.
