When you buy a Traditional Jewish Melodies album, you know exactly what you’re getting! After seeing Hava Nagila, I had to have a good Traditional Jewish Melodies cd. On the U.S. charts, superstar Traditional Jewish Melodies’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This album is a scorcher!
What Used To Be, Used To Be (and Now It Ain’t)(Vus Is Gevant) - arguably the best track on Hava Nagila album. Rabbi Elimelech marked the continuation of Traditional Jewish Melodies in style evolution. There is perfect mix of music in The Sun Went Down. Can I Now Hora as a highlight of Hava Nagila contains a ton of cool melodies. Strong, powerful vocals of Traditional Jewish Melodies in You Have Chosen Us are very impressive. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Hava Nagila. The Welcoming Melody actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Traditional Jewish Melodies’s face. Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen (Means That You’re Grand) was the first single release from the album Hava Nagila. Mitzva Dances is the excellent blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Music of Keep Well is gentle, never overbearing. Within the first few notes of Ten Brothers it’s perfectly clear that Traditional Jewish Melodies is living this song. Rosalie is the albums biggest surprise. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right.
