There is so much to love about Tri Yann, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This disc has all of the essential Tri Yann classics. Tri Yann was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Tri Yann and Inventaire 1970-1993 together. Inventaire 1970-1993 is the best essence of Tri Yann.
Si mort a mors - This one makes me want to not only sing along. La decouverte ou l’ignorance is a very catchy tune. Derobee de Guingamp is really a nice song to relax and listen too. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Pelot d’Hennebont - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Tri Yann. Cad e sin don te sin is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Les prisons de Nantes have really caught my ear and imagination. I was truly moved when I heard Gwerz jorj Courtois. Le reel de Louis Marie catches attention immediately, La jument de Michao is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Song for ye, Jacobites - another great track from the Inventaire 1970-1993 album. Blew our minds when we first heard Chanson a boire. All of songs on Inventaire 1970-1993 and have something to say letting alone La ville que j’ai tant aimee. Kan an kann is Tri Yann’s best work in years. In Guerre, guerre, vente, vent full palet of sound is used by Tri Yann to accentuate the presentation. An distro euz a vro-zaoz on Inventaire 1970-1993 is solid and easy to listen to. Kerfank 1870 is nothing but pure genius.
