When you buy a William Clarke album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Self-described as Blues with lots of words, William Clarke comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. IF YOU LIKE ALL William Clarke’S SONG GO FOR IT! The Boss and Five Card Hand is really good.
Five Card Hand - arguably the best track on The Hard Way album. Fishing Blues gives taste of what makes William Clarke special as a musician. Vocals of William Clarke in Evil really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Letter From Home is marvelous song though, very addictive. My Mind Is Working Overtime is the astounding blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Last Monday Morning is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Moten Swing - another great track from the The Hard Way album. Blues Is Killing Me is the most memorable and exquisite. Listening to Don’t Treat Me Wrong you can hear that William Clarke has still amazing chemistry with band members. Respect Me, Baby is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Other Side Of Town - A strong beat. This is probably my favorite song on the album.
