This is the first studio album from Willie Nelson since bad diagnosis in 1993. I am not a real Blues music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Across The Borderline’ really is amazing. Lead single “American Tune” and “Getting Over You” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is one of Willie Nelson best albums
This is probably my favorite song on the album. (The) Most Unoriginal Sin is a song to enjoy for years to come. Don’t Give Up is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. A unique and uplifting song. A fantastic track full of wonder. Willie Nelson sings Graceland in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. I have all of Willie Nelson’s tracks and Farther Down The Line is probably the most his introspective effort. Valentine is a medium tempo tune. What Was It You Wanted makes a person feel cool. Put I Love The Life I Live into car stereo for your highway driving Willie Nelson is one of artists that allow his songs like If I Were The Man You Wanted to stand on their own and be heard. She’s Not For You - I like this one. Strong, powerful vocals of Willie Nelson in Still Is Still Moving To Me are very impressive.
